Types of work we offer

We lay many thousands of square metres of standard concrete block paving every week.  Concrete blocks on a compacted sand bed is the most popular type of paving today

 

Standard Concrete Block Paving

Permeable Paving

When it was first brought onto the market we were the original and only recommended installer of concrete permeable block paving, designed to allow water to drain through the surface into the bedding course below.

As it has become more popular there are now more products on the market.  We remain one of the most experienced  paving contractors with this product, with many hundreds of previous projects and satisfied clients.

Premium Concrete Paving

There are a number of concrete pavers on the market which offer an enhanced appearance, but which maintain the performance and integrity of the more standard block.

We have vast experience in the different types of block available and their different characteristics.  

 

Concrete Flag paving

We are experienced in laying concrete paving flags, be it functional, amenity areas, or high specification  footpaths with a more decorative appearance.

Flags can be laid on sand or a full mortar bed and can have joints pointed or brush filled with dry sand.  We have equal skill and experience in all.

 

Clay Pavers

Clay paving offers a better colour and appearance, although is slightly more expensive than it’s concrete counterpart.

To lay clay pavers to a good and proper standard requires additional skills and tools, and we have vast resources of both.

 

Natural stone paving

There are a number of different type of paving which can be classed as ‘natural stone’

Granite and Yorkstone can be cropped,  sawn or finished to any number of shapes, sizes and colours for laying in prestige developments, and can be used to form any pattern.

A high degree of care and skill is required to lay these types of paving to a good standard, which we have in abundance

Kerbs, edgings, associated works

In certain applications it is favourable for the edge restraints to be laid in conjunction with the paving.

We have required skills and experience to carry this out to a good standard, be it concrete or natural stone kerbs or edgings, or laying concrete blocks on concrete or mortar bed

We are also able to lay steps, seats and any other bespoke features.
